Chuck Duberstein Professional Development Fund

The Chuck Duberstein Fund was established to honor Chef Chuck Duberstein CEC, AAC, a longtime member and one of the patriarchs of the ACF Midwest Chef's Chapter (now known as the ACF Minneapolis Chef's Chapter). Chef Chuck was a true professional, competing in culinary competitions locally, nationally, and around the world. He was also instrumental in mentoring younger culinarians on how to progress in their careers and compete and work at a high level.

The Chuck Duberstein Fund will support education through quarterly professional-level classes covering a wide range of topics, including protein fabrication, knife skills, soups and sauces, and pastry skills including cake decorating and sugar and chocolate showpieces. Offering these classes will allow certified chefs to gain CEH hours to help in re-certification and expand student knowledge base. All are welcome to attend the classes, from professionals to enthusiasts. To cover expenses, each class may have a nominal fee. ACF members will be charged a lower fee than non-members. Any remaining monies will be used to support any chapter chefs competing in local, regional and national competitions. Please find the application here.
