SUMMARY: 

Responsible for ensuring maximum guest service and satisfaction, by orchestrating, through the Banquet, Amphitheater and Player Development teams, production and service of quality Food and Beverage and providing Grand Casino’s standard of excellence in all phases of service and in full accordance with all operational policies and procedures, gaming regulations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES OF THE POSITION:

·         Responsible for the coordination of all Banquet Events for on and off site locations ensuring room set up and food & beverage service meets guest satisfaction.

·         Ensure performance standards, policies and procedures in Event department are in accordance with company mission and objectives.

·         Responsible for coordinating the fulfillment of Banquet event orders as negotiated.

·         Responsible for complying with all food and beverage health, liquor and safety regulations; as well as all federal, state and local applicable laws.

·         Maintain sanitary standards in all work areas and for all banquet equipment.

·         Responsible for the scheduling, evaluating, and training of all Event Associates ensuring the staff’s compliance with all company’s guest service standards.

·         Ensure banquet floor operations are run in a smooth, efficient manner ensuring guest’s satisfaction.

·         Review and approve all recommendations and suggestions to hire, transfer, suspend, promote, discharge, evaluate, assign and discipline all banquet Associates in a fair and equitable manner.

·         Maximize cost effectiveness within the Event area, by ensuring compliance with established budget, labor and revenue benchmarks.

·         Attend, participate and conduct sales and pre-event meetings as required.

·         Responsible for listening to, evaluating and assuring control of guest grievances.

·         Monitor job performances of all events Associates and provides feedback on it to aid the Associates in developing and enhancing skills.

·         Communicate with the V.P of Hospitality concerning operational deficiencies and areas in need of attention.

·         Set priorities for all Event staff including development and training.

·         Negotiates with assistance from Operations Leader and/or VP of Hospitality and outside distributors Amphitheater and Banquet contracts.

·         Onsite to Coordinate, Problem solve and execute event.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • ·         Previous Bartending experience of 2 years
  • ·         3 Years’ experience negotiating and executing Banquet Event Orders including purchasing of product, room set up and execution
  • ·         Alcohol Awareness Training within 2 months
  • ·         Coordination of Events for up to 1000 guests
